Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge ~ August 2016:

Good day, one and all!
I have had a really busy but GOOD start to the month!
My scrappy mate Sandra S made a flying visit. We did have a WHOLE DAY
scrapping together. Such FUN!!!
And my BFF came to stay from Victoria.
Which is where ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE comes in.
Their challenge is to use a SOUVENIR.... I got a business card from the Tea Rooms
we visited.
Added to that, I watched Sandra pop a border around her page... liked that idea.
Then added to that I'd watched Suse Fish do a page with a 'PL' feel to it.
So, inspired by all THAT, I came up with THIS!
That pink bg paper is soooooo old...but I'VE USED IT...YAAAAY!!!!!
Above is actually an ATC I got in a private swap. I had it sitting on my desk,
to make into a card....but it wanted to go on my page. So I let it;)!!!
The 'style' card came from a Pocket Letter swap [also on the desk!]
LOVE the 'Bestie' Funky flair Studio flair & the little puffy stickers above
are from The Reject Shop. Oh, I do like to mix it up;)
Here is my souvenir. I also had a little plastic 'credit card' holder sitting on my desk.
So that got sewn onto my LO - perfect place for The Palace Tea Room card,
with my journaling tucked behind it. I layered a doily & puffy sticer on the outside
along with that phrase from Flutterby Designs.
This WAS a journaling card. Cut down, sprayed, with some Reject Shop and Crate Paper
puffy stickers & another of those mini doilies. SOOO glad I got that die cut!
The Palace was quite Posh. Well, for us anyways. And the tea was called
PARIS VANILLA [how could I resist??!!!]. Sue had Oolong with Pomegranate.
Another Funky flair. Monday Sue is normally at work. But holidays are spesh.
And this Monday it WAS OK!!!! So that flair worked perfectly!
This was originally a journaling card, too, Cut down, covered in various washi
then I stamped and fussy cut some tea pots out...... added more stickers and tabs as well!
And on that note, I shall STOP!!!
You've been very patient. I don't think much scrapping will get done this month...
but we'll see:)
Cheers for now & happy scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

  5. Oooh... so much to love about this! I do enjoy the close-ups you share because there's always so much to see. There's nothing quite like catching up with good friends and a cuppa... even more special if it's somewhere posh-like, LOL! My favourite part is the teapots. I looooove teapots and cups, and well, all things tea-and-coffee. Gorgeous, gorgeous page :)

  7. Great photo of you and (I assume) Sandra. (and your craft space in the back ground). I bet you had a good time.
Your layout is lovely. So what that the paper is old old! When you look back at you layouts in 20 years time (or your children might) then nobody will know that was old. It looks fab. I like the whole layout. So much to look at and so many nice things about it. Brill!
